Audi Facts, a Microsite from Japan

In 2008, Japan released a super cool microsite centered around the German car manufacturer, Audi. Basically, it gives you all the Audi Facts you’ll ever want to know. Of course, you will have to go to another website to purchase some actual audi car parts, but this site is great for anybody who wants to know more about the brand. It’s a great way to get new buyers excited if they are about to purchase their first Audi. This site is full of amazing animations and is home to some extremely interesting facts about the Audi brand. No wonder it was nominated for a design award!

Here is an excerpt from the Heritage section to give you all a little taste of what the site entails. “Their first imported car was a DKW back in 1922 and it was an electrical car! Yes, you are reading right, an electric car back in 1922. So much about the hybrid hype. If you want to see the car, click on Heritage and then on “1922.” It also goes on to say that Audi was the very first automobile company to conduct crash tests back in 1938.

Now you can’t get audi car parts at this website, but there is a Perfection section where it takes you through the manufacturing and piecing together of their car parts. It is very refreshing to see the passion that goes into the parts. Did you happen to know that 36,520 stitches are needed in order to form the interior of the Audi A8? Or how about the fact that every body part of an Audi R8 is x-rayed for quality after production?

The Design section of the website is one of its greatest features. A very intriguing animation takes place when you click on the design chapter. It goes through and shows the different design stages of the car. You can flip through at the end to examine the design at your own pace. Another great part about this Japanese microsite is the fun stuff. You can go to the gallery and download pictures and wallpapers of whatever model Audi you like best. Now this is a cool microsite! Search google if you want to see more.

The 4-door Lamborghini Looker From the Paris Auto Show

The Lamborgini Estoque has surprised the exotic car world when it let loose it’s $230,000 four-door sports car. Some onlookers at the 2008 Paris Auto show liked it and some liked it just as much as the Murcielago. At the moment, designers consider it only as a concept car but in their Italian headquarters officials are serious contemplating putting it into production. Is there a four-door Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin or Maserati?Although it is four-door there are no compromises as it was made to compete against rivals such as the Porsche and Ferrari. The name “estoque” comes from bullfighting which is a sword that a matador wears. The new Lamborghini has a 5.2 V-10 engine and it is situated in the front which is rare, and has a trunk for luggage. Well, it is a sedan so that is consistent. The car still gets long glances of awe due to its commanding presence. The car’s rear haunches are glaring and with 23-inch wheels fit snuggly into the wheel wells with 295/30ZR23 Pirelli P Zero tires. Although is has four traditional front-hinged doors there is no mistaken that is a super-car.The estoque has optimal weight distribution with a majority of the engine seated behind the front axle line. Officials do not warrant the engine performance however, it is the same V10 in the Lambo Gallardo LP560 which puts out 560 horsepower at a gliding 8,000 rpm, with 398 pound-feet of torque up to 6,500 rpm. The Lamborghini estoque features an e-gear shift paddles built in the rear of the steering wheel. With all these figures and facts on e ca estimate the performance to be close to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 190 mph.The design team has suggested that Lamborghini has mentioned that production versions may come equipped with engine options for the public such as a dual-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and maybe a 4.2-liter V8 diesel. Moreover, even a hybrid version is being considered. If production does begin officials say the number of vehicles to be made will be in the 2,000 range and it may replace altogether the Murcielago. Porsche and Aston martin have made strides with their new models such as the Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamer. So, now Lambo will make their mark too in this area.

Lamborghini Phone from Tag Heuer – luxcellphone

Here are the specs and what Tag had to say about their latest invention “TAG Heuer MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini. Inspired by the famous Italian sports car, the body is housed in black titanium carbide coated stainless steel, and the battery cover gets the famed signature that is found on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 V12 engine block. The phone features include 28 hours of standby time, 7 hours talk time, 2-megapixel camera, music playback, 2GB, USB compatibility, 2 LCD screens, a web browser and built-in modem. Limited to the production of 1963 units to celebrate the year of the creation of the Italian carmaker, the phone will be available in November for $7500.”

You can pretty much bet that most people that will own this phone will already own an incredible Lamborghini car to go with it, as not many will be able to afford the $7500 price tag associated with the phone. Well lets face it, why would you want to spend $7500 on the new Tag Heuer Lamborghini cell phone if it wasn’t to show off your Lamborghini car, even when you are not in it

The Tag Heuer Meridiist is a phone which offers a level of build quality that is unsurpassed within the mobile phone arena. This quad band GSM phone offers a multitude of functions all based around a solid body which has features unheard of in any other phone. However, its price is also something that is relatively unheard of as well. TAG Heuer are watch manufacturers of some reputation, in fact within the sports watch market they are considered the Rolls Royce of watch makers. This is now being brought to the phone market with the introduction of several new variants of this main model.

As you would expect with this brand, the Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 SIM comes with a comprehensive arsenal of time related features. Chronograph time keeping as well as stop watch, lap time and world time are all included within the phone. One surprising feature is the addition of a display screen which is integrated into the top of the unit, this displays the time constantly, but also provides information such as who is calling, this is 96 x 16 pixels in size. This is both an unusual feature and a welcome one, which sets it apart from other phones.

The phone comes with a 2 mega pixel camera, which is suitable to take effective snap shots whilst out and about. Although not the largest resolution available, the phone is not really aimed at that market.

The main screen on this solidly built phone is a 1.9 inch screen which offers a pixel size of 240 x 320 pixels. One of the elements of this screen is the scratch resistance, which is one of the best, if not the best available. The screen uses sapphire crystal as its main component which makes it unscratchable.

The TAG Meridiist also offers an MP3 player which will play a multitude of music file types and comes with 2 Gb of internal memory. USB connectivity offers the ability to share files and synchronise with a PC. Additional software related features include a voice recorder or memo feature which allows the ability to record oral notes whilst on the move and a useful currency converter. All in all the phone is one of outstanding build quality and solid style.

From Quotes to Online Audi Car Finance Purchasing

When looking for Audi car finance it is worthwhile going online and getting several quotes with the help of a specialist website. A specialist car finance website will have access to those lenders who specialise in financing Audi cars and so are more likely to get the cheapest rates of interest and best deal on your behalf.A traditional loan or hire purchase as it is also called can be used for finance for your new or used Audi, this is the simplest of all finance methods and requires you to put down a deposit against the car and then pay monthly repayments over the period of time stated. Once you have made the repayments then the car is yours, hire purchase is also called a secured loan and the car is the security for the money you are borrowing, if you should default on the repayments then the car can be repossessed. An alternative method is to take out a personal loan, however this option would perhaps only be to your advantage  if you are buying a second hand car and do not need to borrow a large amount. If buying a new car or have a very bad credit rating then you could take out a secured loan, however the majority of secured loans will require that you put your home up as security if you are borrowing a large amount and wish to repay it over a longer term. It is essential that you make sure you can afford to repay a loan which is secured on your home as falling behind on the repayments means the roof over your head is at risk. Another option when it comes to Audi car finance is to go for personal contract purchase. This option asks that you pay a lump sum on the car and then spread the monthly low repayments over a period of time. Once the agreement comes to an end you then have to pay the balance left outstanding on the car. You do have other options, you can choose to trade the car in or give it back and you will owe nothing. A very similar option is credit purchase, however with this option you have no choice but to find the money to pay what is left on the outstanding balance. An Audi car finance specialist will offer the cheapest rates for all types of loans and a specialist website will be able to gather quotes together so that all you have to do is compare them. However when it comes to comparing for the best deals you have to make sure that you have first read the small print and know about any additional hidden costs which might come with the loan. Along with hidden costs the key facts will highlight the rate of interest, how much interest you will pay and how much in total the loan will cost, in the case of personal contract purchase it will also show how much will be left outstanding.
